The Glass House Mountains Ecolodge Caloundra is just 10 minutes from Australia Zoo and numerous bars and restaurants. Each room is individual, from fully self contained bungalows and houses to cosy queen suites and bunk rooms. There are no TVs in the whole lodge, thus ensuring peace and quiet and a real chance to get to be 'at one' with nature. Spectacular mountain views are all around, in this beautiful rural location, yet still just 7 minutes away from all the amenities of Glass House Mountains town. Most units have antique Indian furniture, lovely gardens and access to lots of forest walks and trails.
All rooms are non-smoking, and the lodge utilises solar hot water, harvested rainwater, low energy lighting and sustainable and renewable fibres. There is a waste recycling system, compost, and all cleaning agents used to service the rooms are eco-sensitive and non-chemical.
Although some apartments/rooms are self-contained with their own cooking facilities, there is also a communal kitchen carriage, offering seating, hob, microwave and crockery, plus an outdoor BBQ area and a self-serve breakfast each morning (for a small charge).
