Alexandra Headland
Better known to the locals...
as 'Alex', is the coastal town of Alexandra Headland. The popular surfers spot is known as one of the best Surf Breaks on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Being slightly more chilled than its close neighbours of Mooloolaba and Maroochydore it's the perfect spot to base your holiday on the Sunshine Coast. A great place for backpackers to spend their time on the laid back sunny coast.

For families and there is nothing better than spending a day at the beach with a picnic, using a barbecue on the beachfront grassed area and making the most of patrolled swimming area provided by the surf club. Not forgetting Alex is also home to one of the coolest skate parks on the coast.

Are plentiful and not forgetting the facilities of Alexandra Headland Surf Life Saving Club. Mooloolaba being a few minutes drive away that provides dining and nightlife at your fingertips and Maroochydore, gives you shopping and entertainment with the Sunshine Plaza not far away. Alexandra Headland just might be the perfect spot to enjoy all that encompasses the Sunshine Coast - sun,sea and surf.
