The Doonan

The Doonan is a two-hectare venue set among landscaped gardens in the Noosa Hinterland, close to the beaches of the Sunshine Coast. Its layout combines several dining areas with indoor and outdoor bars, lawns, garden paths and family-friendly play spaces, creating a relaxed setting for casual meals, drinks and longer gatherings.

Food is influenced by Mediterranean cooking, with a seasonal menu built around local and garden-grown ingredients. The restaurant offers a more considered dining experience, while the wood-fired pizzeria serves hand-stretched pizzas with house-made toppings. Pizza can suit a quick meal or a shared table, and the broader menu is designed for relaxed lunches, dinners and celebrations.

The Garden Bar sits beside the main beer garden, combining exposed brick, a high ceiling and chandeliers with views across the surrounding greenery. Its drinks list includes cocktails, mocktails, local beers, wine and sparkling options, alongside coffee, fresh juice, soft drinks and pastries. The restaurant provides natural light and a garden outlook, while the pizzeria offers a more casual option for groups sharing food.

Outdoor dining is central to the venue. Alfresco areas, lawns and garden seating allow meals and drinks to unfold in an open setting, with festoon lighting adding atmosphere after dark. The venue also features a cellar door and an ice creamery, giving families and mixed-age groups more ways to spend time on the grounds.
