The Sands Tavern

The Sands Tavern is a relaxed pub and beer garden on Plaza Parade in Maroochydore, offering casual dining, drinks, sport and social spaces. Its style is centred on easygoing pub hospitality, with room for family meals, catch-ups with friends, game-day gatherings and informal celebrations. The venue suits a broad mix of occasions, from a quick meal to a longer afternoon with food and drinks.

The restaurant menu focuses on familiar pub fare, including burgers, sandwiches, hearty classics and share plates designed for the middle of the table. A beer garden provides an outdoor setting for relaxed meals and drinks, and it welcomes four-legged companions. That makes the space suitable for casual gatherings where a dog-friendly outdoor area is useful. Indoor areas include a restaurant, sports bar and dedicated function room, giving the venue several settings for different types of visits.

Sport is a central part of the venue, with coverage of competitions and events including AFL, NRL, NBL, rugby, UFC, boxing and other major fixtures. The sports bar and TAB provide a dedicated place for following matches and spending time with fellow supporters. A gaming room is also part of the venue, creating another option for adult entertainment.

Functions can be held in a dedicated room or in flexible areas across the venue. The spaces are intended for gatherings, celebrations and casual group events, with food and drinks available as part of the pub setting. Family-friendly features include children’s dining offers and the Sands Little Legends program, while regular activities and specials add variety to the venue’s calendar.

With casual food, a beer garden, live sport, function spaces and gaming facilities, The Sands Tavern provides a straightforward pub experience for locals and visitors exploring the Sunshine Coast. The venue is located in Maroochydore and offers table bookings, takeaway ordering and direct contact for function enquiries.
